When i first came to middle school i didn't like writing at all, After seventh grade writing wasn't fun for me.After a while i learned to write a little more so i started getting into it.My 8th grade teachers taught me that writing is a good way to tell a story or to express your feelings.They taught me to connect with the readers with my writing and hook the reader not to tell a boring story.I like to write when i have nothing to do sometimes i use writing to get away when I'm bored.Mr.Locker and Ms.shah was a big influence on me.They helped me and encouraged me to write more.

What Are My Rights?

What are my rights is one of the Essential questions we learned about this year.
I felt that it was a good topic to discuss and learn about because most people don't know there rights so i think it is important to learn about the constitution and the bill of rights.I think in the future this will come in handy.I think i learned a lot about this topic and I'm glad that i have teachers that taught us about the constitution and the bill of rights.

When i first came to middle school i didn't like writing at all,In fact i hated it. As the years passed i started likeing it . I dont love it but i knew i had to do it so i just gave it a chance. After a while i learned to write alittle more so i started getting into it.My 8th grade teachers tought me that writing is a good way to tell a story or just to get something out. They also tought me that writing doesnt always have to be in story form or essay form too,they tought me that i could also write poems,blogs,and even write for fun ...witch i dont only because i dont love it that much......

Mike F's Reading Corner

last summer i didn't want to read but i it was knew if i didn't i would lose some of my reading skills.Ever since last summer i didn't read that well not because i didn't like reading it only because i didn't have time to read.Now that im in 8th grade im open to books that are a little harder for me to challenge me and to improve my reading.By the time I came in September they told me I had to make different reading goals for my self and I had to read at least 50 books by the end of the school year.My 8th grade teacher MR.Locker taught me some reading strategies to help me with reading so i could get a better understanding of the books i read.One stragie that I really like is to try to relate to the main character.The book i liked the most was Twilight By Stephenie Meyer.I liked this book because its about vampires and how a girl meets a vampire and i just think that Stephenie Meyer is a Fabolous Author.

A JOURNEY

Well when i first came to middle school in 6th grade. I didn't really read that much and i wasn't good reader. When I came to 7 grade my i got better at reading but i still didn't enjoy reading. To me reading was not enjoyable.When i came to 8th grade i really didn't read a lot of books but my 8th grade humanities teachers helped me to learn to like reading and that helped me to read alot of books.They have worked with me during the year to improve my understanding of reading and how i choose the books i read.
The book that i liked the most was Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Askaban by J.K. Rowling. This book inspired me to read more challenging books like twilight series and the rest of the Harry Potter series.I really think that my reading has improve since 6th grade and my reading level has gone up.
